p.s. Anyone reading this who has CTV or TSN will have to watch for Benson. He was being filmed while he was sitting in the cup!
WOW.....What an opportunity! It all started with a delayed plane. The Stanley cup was to come to Canada and the plane it was arriving on was delayed. They have a very tight schedule and needed to get to Saskatoon or Regina for their scheduled time and couldn't. Who ever was in charge called around looking for pilots. A long story short....Kris Versteeg's dad is friends with Barry Clements (they know each other from farming) and knows that he is a pilot. Some calls were made and next thing we know.....we have front row chances to touch the Stanley cup. How cool is that!! We walked up to go and get pictures and Kris says to max "You should put him in the cup!" Max looks at him and says "Can I?!!!!!!" You will see Benson the star sitting in the cup! We got to follow the CTV and TSN crews threw the hanger and out to the runway. It was pretty cool.
